Use this Setup manual to step-by-step configure Signing365 in your Business Central environment. 1. Create a Signhost accountNavigate to https://www.signhost.com/ Click on the “Sign up” button

Create an account for Signhost, and choose the desired type of subscription.

2. Setting up your Signhost accountLog in to the Signhost portal via https://portal.signhost.com/ Choose “Settings” Scroll to the heading “Usertokens”. Click on “Add Usertoken” As a name you can choose, for example, “Signing365” Copy the Usertoken and store it securely, for example in a password vault

Under the heading “Management” you can set up a number of options if desired: Branding: This makes it possible to apply your corporate identity to the look and feel of the Signhost Portal and the e-mail sent from Signhost. Users: This allows multiple users to be created (if your Signhost subscription allows multiple users). This makes it possible, for example, to communicate with the recipients of documents from different departments (e.g. sales@, hr@, support@, etc.).

Each user has their own User Token. If you create multiple users within the Signhost portal, you will have to generate a UserToken for each of the users. You will need these Usertokens later to configure Signing365. |
3. Installing Signing 365 from Microsoft AppsourceThe next step is to install Signing365 in your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (“BC”) environment. To do this, complete the following steps: Log in at https://businesscentral.dynamics.com. Make sure you log in as a user with sufficient permissions to install extensions in BC. Open the “Extension Management” page'.

Choose “Manage”, “Extensions Marketplace” Search the Extension Marketplace for “Signing365” Select the extension “Signing365” and click “Free trial”. You will be redirected to your Business Central environment for the installation of Signing365. After installation, return to the BC home screen. Signing365 requires a demo license or production license. Without a license the app cannot be used in BC. Click on the warning in the BC ribbon showing that no valid license was found. Choose “Show more details”

The “BriteBlue License manager” page opens. Select the app for which you wish to request a Trial license Then click on “Request/renew Trial” to request a temporary Trial license. More information about license management can be found at https://briteblue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BBL

4. Grant users permissions for Signing365The next step is to grant permissions (rights) to the BC users, so that they can use Signing365 without any problems. Select “Signing365” from the menu and then “BriteBlue Signing365 Installation Wizard”

The Wizard guides you through assigning permission sets to Users and/or Security Groups. For Signing365 there are 2 Permission Sets: “Signing Permissions Admin” for application administrators and Signing Setup administrators “Signing Permission User” for BC users who create and manage transactions sent via Signhost.
Complete the Wizard. You can now continue with the final step: setting up Signing365.
The last step is configuring Signing365 to get you all set to start your first transaction! Select “Signing365” from the menu and then select “Signing365 Setup”.

On this page you can enter a number of parameters that will be used for documents that you submit for Signing via Signhost:

API-key (Usertoken Signhost portal) | The previously generated Usertoken on the Signhost portal. | App Key | Generated automatically. | Description | Choose a recognizable name for the Signing Account, for example the email address to which the account is linked. | Default transaction validity | The number of days a transaction is valid by default. When a transaction is created, this can be deviated from if desired. | Email Text | The body text of the accompanying email sent to recipients by Signhost when a new transaction is offered to recipients. | Email Subject | Subject of the email sent to recipients. | Return URL | The URL (web page) to which a signer is redirected after signing a transaction. |
Exit the page and return to the “BriteBlue Signing365 Setup” page. To check the connection with Signhost: Select the created account, click “Setup” and then “Test Signing Account API”

Optionally, it is possible to define so-called “Transaction Types” for the selected Signing Account. These “Transaction Types” categorize Transactions. And can be used for, for example, reporting, filtering or monitoring transactions using (optional) workflow solutions.

6. Gebruikers koppelen aan een Link users to a default Signing AccountOptionally, it is possible to link each BC user to a default Signing Account. So that this Account is suggested by default when creating a new transaction. Look for the “User / Signer ” page
