This article addresses frequently asked questions regarding License Management. Trial license requestsYou can request a Trial license from the Licensemanager In Business Central, open the “BriteBlue Licensemanager” page; Select the extension for which you want to request a Trial license; Click on “Update License”; A “Trial” license is then generated. the Trial has a validity of 14 days.

You can request a maximum of 3 Trial periods per environment, each lasting a maximum of 14 days. If you extend an existing Trial on an earlier date than the end date (i.e. before the 14 days expire), the new Trial period will start from the date of extension. If you have a Production License, please contact us to also obtain a license for your Sandbox as well.

It is not possible to obtain a (new) Trial or Production licenseThat's annoying! You can check the following: HTTP Requests are not allowed. In Business Central, open the “Extensions Management” page. Select the Licensemanager extension and check whether HTTP Requests are allowed by the Licensemanager extension, this is necessary to connect to the License Server. On environments of the "Sandbox" type, HTTP Requests are often disabled.

The maximum Trial period of 3 x 14 days has been reached. Request a Production license: The easiest way to request this is from Business Central; Open the “BriteBlue Licensemanager” page; Click on the “Request new license” button.
Do you need more time for your Trial? Please contact us; If you have a valid Production License, please contact us to also obtain a license for your Sandbox.
Terminate subscription and/or trial and remove extensionDo you want to end your subscription? That’s unfortunately, but you can do this yourself as follows: Open the “BriteBlue Licensemanager” page; Select the extension for which you want to cancel your subscription or end your Trial (early); Click on the “Cancel License” button; Wait until the check mark is turned on at “Canceled” Then click on the “Delete License” button; In Business Central, open the “Extensions Management” page; And remove the Extension you just unsubscribed from the Business Central environment.

Error message when reinstalling a BriteBlue extensionYou may receive an error message when reinstalling a BriteBlue extension, if this extension was previously installed in the same Business Central environment. This error can be resolved as follows: Open the “BriteBlue Licensemanager” page; There is already a line present with a (terminated) License for the extension that was previously installed; Delete this line; And then (re)install the BriteBlue extension via the Extension Management page.

You can easily report a change in your address, contact or IBAN In the event of a change of address for your company: First make sure that you have completely entered the new address details of your company on the Business Central "Company details" page.
Then open the “BriteBlue Licensemanager” page Select the “Update Company data wizard” option here. Using this wizard it is possible to change address, contact and IBAN details

Licensing and copying from BC Production environment to BC Sandbox(#8233) When you copy a BC Production environment to a BC Sandbox, the expiration date of the active BriteBlue licenses will be removed. After copying, you can request a Trial license via the BriteBlue License Manager page so that you can continue using your BriteBlue apps Open in the BC Sandbox you just created; Go to the page “BriteBlue License Manager”; Click for each of the licenses on “Request / renew Trial license” to receive a Trial license for each of the licenses. A Trial license is valid for 14 days by default.
