Step-by-step Setup of Signing365 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Use this Setup manual to step-by-step configure Signing365 in your Business Central environment. This setup consists of the following steps:

  1. Creating a Signhost account

  2. Setting up your Signhost account

  3. Installing Signing 365 from Microsoft Appsource

  4. Grant users permissions for Signing365

  5. Configure Signing365

  6. Link users to a default Signing Account

1. Create a Signhost account

  1. Navigate to https://www.signhost.com/

  2. Click on the “Sign up” button

2. Setting up your Signhost account

  1. Log in to the Signhost portal via https://portal.signhost.com/

  2. Choose “Settings”

  3. Scroll to the heading “Usertokens”. Click on “Add Usertoken”

    1. As a name you can choose, for example, “Signing365”

    2. Copy the Usertoken and store it securely, for example in a password vault

Note

Copy the Usertoken immediately. After this you will not see it again!

  1. Click “Save” to save the Usertoken

Generate a user token. Then click “Save” to implement the change.

  1. Under the heading “Management” you can set up a number of options if desired:

    1. Branding:

      1. This makes it possible to apply your corporate identity to the look and feel of the Signhost Portal and the e-mail sent from Signhost. More information about this at https://intercom.help/signhost/en/articles/2064181-branding-settings

    2. Users:

      1. This allows multiple users to be created (if your Signhost subscription allows multiple users). This makes it possible, for example, to communicate with the recipients of documents from different departments (e.g. sales@, hr@, support@, etc.).

Each user has their own User Token. If you create multiple users within the Signhost portal, you will have to generate a UserToken for each of the users. You will need these Usertokens later to configure Signing365.

3. Installing Signing 365 from Microsoft Appsource

The next step is to install Signing365 in your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (“BC”) environment. To do this, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in at https://businesscentral.dynamics.com. Make sure you log in as a user with sufficient permissions to install extensions in BC.

  2. Open the “Extension Management” page'.

  1. Choose “Manage”, “Extensions Marketplace”

  2. Search the Extension Marketplace for “Signing365”

  3. Select the extension “Signing365” and click “Free trial”. You will be redirected to your Business Central environment for the installation of Signing365.

  4. After installation, return to the BC home screen.

  5. Signing365 requires a demo license or production license. Without a license the app cannot be used in BC.

    1. Click on the warning in the BC ribbon showing that no valid license was found.

    2. Choose “Show more details”

    2. Then click on “Request/renew Trial” to request a temporary Trial license.

4. Grant users permissions for Signing365

The next step is to grant permissions (rights) to the BC users, so that they can use Signing365 without any problems.

  1. Select “Signing365” from the menu and then “BriteBlue Signing365 Installation Wizard”

  1. The Wizard guides you through assigning permission sets to Users and/or Security Groups. For Signing365 there are 2 Permission Sets:

    1. “Signing Permissions Admin” for application administrators and Signing Setup administrators

    2. “Signing Permission User” for BC users who create and manage transactions sent via Signhost.

  1. Complete the Wizard. You can now continue with the final step: setting up Signing365.

5. Configure Signing365

The last step is configuring Signing365 to get you all set to start your first transaction!

  1. Select “Signing365” from the menu and then select “Signing365 Setup”.

  1. Exit the page and return to the “BriteBlue Signing365 Setup” page.

  2. To check the connection with Signhost:

    1. Select the created account, click “Setup” and then “Test Signing Account API”

2. Inrichten van je Signhost account

  1. Meld je aan op het Signhost portal via https://portal.signhost.com/

  2. Kies voor “Instellingen”“Instellingen”

  3. Scroll naar het kopje “Usertokens”“Usertokens”. Klik op “Usertoken toevoegen”“Usertoken toevoegen”

    1. Als naam kun je kiezen voor bijvoorbeeld “Signing365”

    2. Kopieer de usertoken en sla deze veilig op, bijvoorbeeld in een wachtwoordkluis

Note

Kopieer de usertoken onmiddelijk. Hierna krijg je deze niet meer te zien!

  1. Klik op “Opslaan” “Opslaan” om de usertoken op te slaan

    2. Gebruikers:

      1. Hiermee kunnen meerdere gebruikers aangemaakt worden (indien je Signhost abonnement dit toestaat). Dit maakt het mogelijk om bijvoorbeeld vanuit verschillende afdelingen te communiceren met de ontvangers van documenten (bijvoorbeeld sales@, hr@, support@, enz).

Iedere gebruiker heeft een eigen Usertoken. Indien je meerdere gebruikers aanmaakt binnen de Signhost omgeving, zul je voor elk van de gebruikers een eigen Usertoken moeten genereren. Deze Usertokens heb je later nodig om Signing365 te configureren.

3. Installeren van Signing 365 vanuit Microsoft Appsource

De volgende stap is het installeren van Signing365 in je Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (“BC”) omgeving. Doorloop hiervoor de volgende stappen:

  1. Meld je aan op https://businesscentral.dynamics.com. Zorg dat je aanmeldt als gebruiker met voldoende permissies om extensies te mogen installeren in BC.

  2. Open de pagina “Extensiebeheer”“Extensiebeheer”

  2. Zoek in de Extensiemarktplaats op “Signing365”“Signing365”

  3. Selecteer de extensie “Signing365” “Signing365” en klik op “Free trial”“Free trial”. Je wordt omgeleid naar je Business Central omgeving voor de installatie van Signing365.

  4. Keer na installatie terug naar het startscherm van BC.

  5. Voor Signing365 is een demo-licentie of productie-licentie benodigd. Zonder licentie kan de app niet gebruikt worden in BC.

    1. Klik op de waarschuwing in het lint van BC waarin getoond wordt dat er geen geldige licentie aangetroffen is.

    2. Kies voor “Show “Show more details”details”

4. Gebruikers permissies toekennen voor Signing365

Volgende stap is het toekennen van permissies (rechten) aan de BC gebruikers, zodat zij Signing365 probleemloos kunnen gebruiken.

  1. Kies in het menu voor “Signing365”“Signing365”, en vervolgens voor “BriteBlue “BriteBlue Signing365 Installatie wizard”wizard”

Gebruik “BriteBlue Signing365 Installatie wizard” voor het toekennen van permissies aan gebruikers.

  1. De Wizard begeleidt je bij het toekennen van machtigingensets aan Gebruikers en/of Beveiligingsgroepen. Voor Signing365 zijn er 2 machtigingensets:

    1. “Signing “Signing Permissions Admin” Admin” voor applicatiebeheerders en beheerders van Signing Setup

    2. “Signing “Signing Permission User” User” voor BC gebruikers die transacties aanmaken en beheren die via Signhost verstuurd worden.

  1. Verlaat de pagina en keer terug naar de pagina “BriteBlue Signing365 Setup”

  2. Om de verbinding met Signhost te controleren:

    1. Selecteer het aangemaakte account, klik op “Setup” en vervolgens op “Controleer en test verbinding met Signhost” .
